Happy Halloween!!

Tyler had a fun first Halloween. We started the week by going to the ATS Halloween party at work on Monday the 27th. At the party Tyler got to meet baby Taylor, who is my friend from work's little girl - born in July '08. They hit it off! :-)

On Thursday night, he enjoyed carving his very first jack-o-lantern. Well, actually I enjoyed carving it, he enjoyed squishing the pumpkin guts in his hands. I threw a big old sheet out on the kitchen floor, and the mess began. Tyler was covered in orange goo by the time we were finished. Bill had to keep an eye on him to make sure that he didn't eat any pumpkin seeds or stringy stuff. Then it was straight to the bathtub!

On Friday night, we went to the bonfire up at the park in town, and Tyler got to be in his very first Halloween "parade" in his little billy goat costume. Then we cooked some hot dogs on the bonfire and headed back home to hand out candy. I will be sad next year when we are in our new house, b/c we will probably have no trick-or-treaters. I love seeing the little kids all dressed up.

Jaimie was also home for the weekend with some friends, so it was nice to see her and meet her gang - who were all wonderfully nice!

The house is coming along. All of the basement walls were poured and finished last week. Last weekend Bill, Tom and Brian worked on getting the insulation & wire mesh laid out for the in-floor heat. Then on Sunday Bill, Tom, Carla, Madison and I worked on getting the tubing laid out. We all decided that we never care to see another zip tie again! Our fingers were sore by the time it was over with! Thanks to everyone for helping out - we appreciate it. Last night Bill and Tom worked on setting the structural steel beams and posts so that they could pour the concrete floor in the basement today. Everything looks good so far!

Tyler has continued to pull himself up more and more. He has also started to do a normal crawl in addition to the army crawl. He still likes the army crawl the best, though! :-)

Work is busy as usual. It is closing time again - the months just fly by. And the auditors have returned to begin interim work before the year end audit. Since returning from maternity leave, ATS has opened subs up in both Puerto Rico and China. Puerto Rico just started operations in October, and China has not yet started - but the setup process was MUCH longer there, and the bookkeeping portion still is not finalized. However, the Mexican operation continues to be the most time consuming.

I also have to say CONGRATS to Jamie and Mike on the birth of little Grant, who was born on Halloween! How fun, and he looks like a sweet little pumpkin in all of his pictures. I can't wait to meet him.

And last of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my hubby!

I LOVE the picture of the 3 of you and Tyler's goat costume (it's a goat, right?) You're doing a great job w/ the blogging. And I enjoyed the pictures of your 'hole' and the walk out basement! lol. I'm also glad you were able to find a doctor you like and trust! That's SO important...induction crazy doctors aren't all that (could have had something to do w/ my change of doctors too).

Gotta go to work!
